Hi Jack - I am a descendant of Colonel Simonds through his daughter, Marcy Simonds, who married Charles Kellogg of Williamstown. They moved to Middle Granville, Washington County, NY. Charles' granddaughter, Adeline, married her cousin my reat-great-grandfather, Giles B. Kellogg. As far as I know all of your information on Col. Simonds is correct. There is a lot of info. on him at pp. 589ff. of "Origins in Williamstown" by Arthur Latham Perry. My research shows that he was the son of Joseph Simonds and perhaps Abigail Spencer. His first wife was Mary Davis. I have some more notes, but have not pulled them together. Best of luck,
Tom Kellogg
