i am currently doing major research on him and i am slowly peicing things together, i have his ships log from 1841 when he was on the us ship potomac. it has been passed down from generation to generation and now my father charles carroll simms v has it. i am trying to get ahold of any information i can, and wil let you know if i come across anything helpful for you.
