My Grandfather was from Savannah,Georgia and my father was born there also. They are and I ma ,repectively Sr.,Jr.,III..My grandfather was with the Atlanta and St.Andrews Bay Line Railroad and had his home and office in Dothan ,Alabama.Sr.died in 1966.My father is still living.
I was born in Atlanta,Georgia in 1947.
Sr. was called Holland and I am as well.
Dad was in AAF,497thBW,20th AF on Saipan in WWIIand was a B-29 pilot in the first group to arrive on Saipan.
For what it's worth,I think the Sims to Simms change may have occurred when Scottish Sims were relocated to Northern Ireland. But I am mearly speculating.
