Sylvanus Simmons family

If there are any descendants of Sylvanus Simmons, son of John W. & Dolly [Jennison] Simmons, or researchers who can clear this up, I would appreciate the assistance.

1860 Henry Co., IN Census shows S. Simmons [indexed as 'L.'][35] with wife Henrietta [34], daughters Henrietta [14], Ada [11], mother Dolly, laborer Edward Bateman [15].

1864: Ada married Edward Bateman in Cass Co., IN

1870: Sylvanus Summons & "Harriette" in Kenton Co., KY
1880: Sylvanus Simmons & H.P. in Campbell Co., KY
1881: Obit for Henrietta P. Simmons, wife of S. Simmons, died at the home of her son-in-law, ex-councilman Bateman.
No record of Sylvanus's death as of yet.

1930 death certificate for Ada J. Bateman, widow, born Cincinnati in 1848,gives husband as Edward, father as S. Simmons, mother as KATE VAN LOO.

1845 Hamilton Co., OH - Sylvanus Simmons married Catherine Van Liew

1850 Census: Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OH
S.S. Simmins [26], Catherine [23], Sarah A. [4], Margaret J. [2]

1860-1881 data fits together with Sylvanus & Henrietta as Ada's parents. Ada's death certificate data matches to Simmons - Van Liew marriage.

The girls' ages fit Henrietta and Ada in 1850, but not the names, likewise Mrs. Simmons.

Need help to sort this out!!
