This is my family too. I haven't had time to sort out everything I have on the family, but I believe some of the children of William Simmonds and Frances Robb were: Frances (m. R.T. Dunaway), William (d.1836), and my ancestor, Cyrus Simmonds (b.1802 and married Adeline Hart c.1825 in NC before moving to TN).

I believed the grandparents of Frances Robb to be James Robb and Frances Buckles as they married in 1733 at Lancaster Co, VA.

I have a little old book which may have belonged to your husband's ancestor at one time. The book is entitled "The Seasons" by James Thomson, and is dated 1811. It was apparently given to Jas. Simmonds in 1833 from Bal(?) Smith who had the book in 1826. The book is about 200 pages and is religious and descriptive poetry. It has been passed down in our family.

Other information I believe to be correct is Frances Robb's (b.1771) sister was Elizabeth Robb (m. Mr. Flowers). William Simmond's (b.c. 1761) brother was John Simmonds (m. Cinah Mahanes 1799).

Hope this helps.

Colleen
