On my present rather scant family tree I have a John Simmonds born about 1845 (possibly? Shropshire??), who was married twice. The first wife believed to be ??Steadman, they had 1 son William born 1876 died 1930 who had 2 sons and 3 dtrs Betty William John and 2 unknown. His second marriage was in the north at Birkenhead Parish Church (wife name??) and those children were Nellie b 1881, Edward b 1882, Henry 1885 Hannah 1886 George 1888 and then Joseph b 1890 (Joseph was my grandfather). Does any of this sound familiar?
