Do you have a widow Simmonds who adopted a foundling and named her Eliza, about 1810, possibly Darlington SC or 96 SC Area? Perhaps she did not give her the Simmonds name. Eliza married John Wilson White about 1830 and left SC for Butts County, GA. They named their children Bartholomew Still White, Parham Lindsey White, Louisa, Mary, Susan and Sarah White.
