I am looking for information on the Simmonds: Mr Simmonds died in Rawhide Fight in Vernon Parish, Leesville, LA. He had a daughter Melissa Simmonds b.April 8, 1850, and died June 15, 1884 of Typhoid Fever. She married Benjamin Netherlin(Netherland). She is buried at Mt. Pleasant in Simpson, LA. She had a sister named Missouri that married John Greer. Who was Mr. Simmonds? I know nothing else about the Simmonds. Please help if you can. Thank you.
