Dan - my Thomas Silverwood was born 1 July 1790. Sources say he was born in Rathmel, England. Do you know where Rathmel is, or if there is a town close to that name? Or if any Silverwoods lived there. I know nothing about Thomas' parents or siblings. I did find one reference to a Thomas Silverwood that would be about the right time. "Passenger Arrivals at the Port of Philadelphia on the 'Martha' 1800-1819 - Thomas Silverwood. This could be mine as he married in Union Co, PA in 1820. His children's names were Isabella, James, Mary and Sarah. Any help you could give would be great. Thanks so much for answering. Cecy Rice in Missouri.
