Fordie W. Silver was born in May 1883 at Chateaugay, NY, son of William Silver and Amanda. Fordie W. next appears in the 1900 census living with an older brother and his family. In 1910, Fordie W. is found in Burke, Franklin County, NY with wife, Eva and a child, Myrtle who was born in 1909. Fordie W. took his wife, Eva and daughter to NH and abandoned them. Eva divorced him in 1913. Next record is the 1920 census when Fordy W. Silver is found in Pamelia, Jefferson County, NY, with wife, Maude and four children. Note the birth dates of children:

Claude, b 1909, Kenneth, b 1912, Corrine, b 1913 and Dorothy, b 1916.

Surely this is the same person. His age agrees in all records and his occupation is the same in 1910 and 1920. The name Fordie is probably short for Fordon/Forden which is a name used among the Ontario group of Silvers, all of whom are related.

Love to find descendants, or others researching these people.
