I doubt if my Silver line is related to yours, but you might discover information helpful to me as you look for Silvers of similar names, and I might find something helpful to you as well. This is the information I have about John C. Silver, son of John C. Silver [German ancestry] and younger brother of my great-grandfather Samuel Newton Silver:
JOHN C. SILVER, b. 1868 presumably in Henry County, MO; d. ? ; m. 29 Jun 1890 in St Clair County, MO to EMMA J. HARDSON, b. 1874 in Iconium, St Clair County, MO
ALVA SILVER, b. 1900 in Missouri
MARY C. SILVER, b. 1902 in Missouri
BLANCHE E. SILVER, b. 1905 in Missouri
WILBUR W. SILVER, b. 1907 in Kansas
BURNIE [?] H. SILVER, b. 1912 in Kansas
The wedding information I found in the St. Clair County records - the children's names came from US Census data.
I should also mention that another brother of Samuel is Joseph Silver, married to Amanda Talley. Needless to say, the similar names could be confusing - for both of us! If you should come across anything more about "my" Silvers during your search, please let me know, and I'll watch out for yours.
