Hi. I have a family in the 1870 census that I would like to know more about:
Dwelling #78
John SILVA 36 Fisherman b.Western Isles
Mary " 30 Keeping house b.Western Isles
Angeline PIERSON 23 No Occupation b.W.I.
Mary " 8 b.MASS
John " 7 b.MASS
Dwelling #82
Joseph SILVA Jr. 29 Fisherman b.W.I.
Mary J. " 20 Keeping House b.W.I.
Frank PIERSON 31 Fisherman b.W.I.
Mary A. " 32 Keeping House b.W.I.
Mary " 9 b.MASS
Rosa " 5 b.MASS
MaryAnn " 3 b.MASS

I believe that Angeline PIERSON may have been a SILVA and her husband was Joseph PIERSON. I think he had died by this census. I think that Frank PIERSON was her brother-in-law. By 1880 Angeline is re-married to Manuel ROSE and they are living in Alameda, California. But they had a son named William ROSE born in Massachusetts around 1872.

Does anyone connect with this SILVA family?

Thanks,
Margaret
