I'm looking for any information on Joseph Leal Silva born on July 1875. He was born on Pico Island, Azores, Porugal. I don't know when he died because (as the story goes) he had 9 children in the California, then left his wife ( Ida Bettencourt) and went back to the Azores and had 9 more children. He named them the same names as the children in California: Marie, Joseph Leal(my grand-father), Rose, Laura, Eva, Margret, Harry, Fredrick, and George.
