Richard "Rick" Silva, 65, of Palm Springs died Jan. 6, 2006, in Rancho Mirage.
He was born July 22, 1940, to William B. and Leora Silva in Phoenix.
He served in the Army from 1964 to 1966.
He was a member of Prime Timers of the Desert.
He is survived by his sister, JoAnn Deal of Wallowa, Ore.; and two brothers, Daniel R. Silva of Pine Mountain and Thomas A. Silva of Phoenix.
A celebration of life will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at his residence.
Inurnment will be at Rock Point Cemetery in Gold Hill, Ore., with Wiefels & Son Funeral Directors of Palm Springs in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society
