Silva 'Italian' Decent

Hello,

My last post to this thread was four years ago. It came up on a google search, so I thought I would try again.

I don't have much contact with my family members now so I am not quite sure of my decent. Though Silva seems more a Spanish / Portguese name, I am told both my father's and mother's side of the family decend from Sicily. I was hoping someone had some more information on this:

I am Jason A. Silva born, 1974 Lynn, MA
Brother Stefan Silva, 1969, Lynn, MA
Sister Kerrianne Silva, 1971 Lynn, MA

Father, Roy J. Silva, 1951 E/Boston, MA
Mother, Jo-Ann Silva (Scannelli), 1950 - 1999 E/Boston, MA

Father's Side:
Grandmother: Stella Silva (Salerno)
Grandfather: Paul Silva

Mother's Side:
Rose (???) Scannelli
Alfonso Scannelli, Died 1974

That's about all I can think of right now. Any help / enlightenment would be appreciated.
