Silliman Family Genealogy Forum

Hi there. I blundered on to your posting while doing an internet search on my family. I am related to William Silliman of Pennsylvania as well. My grandfather Vian Bertram Silliman was the youngest son of William H. Silliman, who died in a car accident as he was teaching his youngest son (my grandfather) to drive. Your grandfather was my dad's beloved "Uncle Bill" who was involved, I believe, in some capacity with the Allen Laundry in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where my father worked and became a drycleaner which he is to this day. Vian Bertram married Edith Stroup and had three sons, Vian Jr., Neil (my father), and Thomas. I think your grandfather used to call my dad "Dipper". I would love to know what you have learned about our family genealogy, as what I know is limited-- just the stuff my Uncle Vian managed to uncover.
My family left Pennsylvania for Phoenix in 1969. There are none of our Silliman relatives left there that I know of, since my Uncle Vian moved to Baltimore with his daughters and my Uncle Tom moved to Florida. I wish you good health and much happiness and would love to hear from you. Many thanks.
