The text you quote is long out-of-date and contains several errors. Pleikard Dietrich Sailer(as spelled in the original German birth register) did not sail for America in 1841 but rather in 1838 on a ship named the "Two Sisters" which landed in Philadelphia in Sept. 1838. His younger brother Johann Peter accompanied him. His future spouse Elizabeth Hartsoe (probably spelled Hertzog) was NOT on the same vessel. She sailed later, probably in 1841 with her father on the ship St. Mark, which also landed in Philadephia. It's not known when or where P.D. and Elizabeth met. Some years after their marriage they moved from PA to VA and finally to NC where P.D. bought and operated a grist mill near the future town of Siler City.
