Speculation:
Could your M. J. Sigler that m. Fanny Robinson in Lee Co., Iowa [southeast, four counties away] be the sameMarion Sigler, b. abt. 1856 in Iowa? [My assumption is that Marion could be a male name in this case, and the name of the County name just north of Lucas Co..]
In the Chariton reference of 1881, Marion [if the male in question] would have been about 25 years old fitting the profile of a young married man.The 1870 Census of Benton Twp., Lucas Co., Iowa shows the following family:
Descendants of Isaac Henry Sigler
23 Isaac Henry Sigler 1829 - 1880
.... +Martha Ann [Tracy] Sigler1827 - 1900
... 24 Henry H. Sigler 1853 -
... 24 Marion Sigler 1856 -
... 24 Nancy J. Sigler1858 -
... 24 Matilda Sigler 1864 -
... 24 Minnie E. Sigler 1868 -
Further,In the same county, 1870 Census, in Union Twp., there is a Robison family with a Frances, female, age 9, who in 1881 would be abt 20 years old.Just a thought.Have more info re: that family if needed. This Francis is the daughter of John & Nancy Robison, age 41, from PA.
