Sierra Family Genealogy Forum
Just dont know how to begin. My cousin Guillermo Sierra Trevino, was the family historian, with over 40 volumes of history traced back to the first Sierra that landed in Mexico. It so happens that there were two Sierra clans coming from the Old World. The Sierra's that settled in Veracruz, Mexico, and the Sierra's that settled in Michoacan and Nuevo Leon, Mexico. I belong to this family. My cousin, rest in peace, stated that our family was related to a friar, by the last name of Sierra, who came with the conquering Spanish party to the north of Mexico, he settled there. From there until my Greatgrandmother, lucila Ramos de Sierra, I dont know anything, but my great-grandmother gave birth to 13 children, my grandfather, Caleb Sierra Ramos, being the oldest of them all. Currently, my great aunt, Olgah Hauserman, is the only living relative of the family. She and her husband, Robert Hauserman live in a suburb of Chicago Ill.
I know, that there is family in Brownsville, TX, Illinois, and California. The rest of the family is located between Michoacan and Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico.
