Just signed up here at the forums and I hope to find some much needed information on my family line. Thanks to all that have already posted here, I have used a lot of your information! Just wanted to give you guys an idea of my family line in case you have any questions for me.
Me - Nathan Todd Sides (Rowan County)
My Father - Billy Lamar Sides
His Father - James Blanchard Sides
His Father - Charlie Armstrong Sides
His Father - Henry Pemberton (Pink) Sides
His Father - Postell (Many Different Spellings) Caswell Sides
His Father - Caswell Sides (Born 11/13/1821 Cabarrus County)
Thats the information that I have so far verified from documents that my father has (and ones I understood)....
Once I hit Caswell Sides in the family line, I wasn't able to find any other documents to prove who his father was. In looking at what was told to my father and information from the web, it looks like his father may have been a George Sides. From there the water gets really muddy with a guess at an Andreus Seitz (Andrew Sides) and Johann Henrich Seitz (John Henry Sides). Again these last ones are guesses on my part. I just started getting into my family lineage so bare with me if I have some things wrong. Any information you can provide would be excellent. I also have been tinkering with the idea of joining the DNA testing that is going on with the Sides line.
