Before I put the URL to the project, if you are one of these Sides, we particularly would like you to consider joining, so that we can do some comparisons. -Leonard Sides of Stanly CoNC descendants -Leonard Sides of Washington Co, IN> Nebraska descendants -Leonard Sides of Union Co, IL descendants -Nelson Sides of Stanly Co, NC descendants -Peter Sides m Barbara Carpenter > Baton Rouge, LA -Frank Seitz of Paducah Co, KY> Highland, IL descendants -Andrew Sitz of Lincoln Co, NC> Alabama descendants -Lewis Seitz of Germany> PA> Fairfield, OH We also have a descendant of Michael Sides of Cabarrus Co, NC, Jacob Seitz m Mary Clubb, Samuel Abraham Seits, and a descendant of Johann Heinrich through William Sidney Sides. Now to the chart! http://www.halcyondays.com/Sides/dnaresults.htm - You'll notice that there are shaping up to be some quite distinct lines for the Sides/Seitz/Sitz/Sights/Scites/etc. You can immediately see that, at least for 12 markers, the descendants of Henry Sides that went to Walker Co, AL match lines for Christopher Sides and Charlies Sides of Stanly Co, NC, as well as Peter Seitz NC> MO. With only mutational difference between the Pater Seitz NC>LA and Andrew Sitz of Lincoln Co, NC, there may be a relationship there-at some point we hope to start seeing some 25 marker rollouts as this will either prove the relationship (if no more than 2 mutations) or eliminate it. Nelson Sides m Martha Hatley does not match the other Montgomery Co, NC results, would like to find others of this line to compare with, particularly South Carolina Sides as there is a land record that shows land changing hands in the area to a Henry Sides of South Carolina. The descendants of Johannes Seitz of Philadelphia circa 1764 are represented in 4 different kits. They would like to find additional participants as well as anyone from the ancestral village of Adleshofen, Baden, Germany as it is a rare DNA imprint. The newest result to come back is that of a descendant of Christian Sides of Mecklenburg, NC who had a son Leonard. This person descends through the Nelson Sides who went to Yell Co, AR. It appears at first glance until we get some additional testers from this line to be a distinct line than the others in the area. DNA, along with a good, sourced paper trail may prove to help break your own brick wall or at least eliminate blind research alleys. I hope you will consider joining the project as well to see how your Sides/Seitz/Sitz/Sights lines up. Notify Administrator about this message?
