According to Clara's Scrapbook on the Mont. Co. site, (and also a Leland Nelson Vedder biography from "History of the Mohawk Valley," Vol. IV p. 744) Conrad Jr's wife was Sarah Eliza Frichter. So I was hoping she might have had a daughter named Eliza who married Henry Thompson. It was not unusual back then for sisters to name children after their brothers-in-law! We have found several instances of it in our families. Wouldn't that would be a nice scenario - if Mary Cebra Shutts Irving named her son after a sister's husband? I'll have to keep looking.
