This is on eBay today 12/12/01
very large, antique family Bible, from 1848. It has a leather cover, and is approx. 9 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 3 1/2" thick. Family names listed in Family Record are Shurtleff, Partridge, (and also Hutchinson and Bloomfiled). Bible has Old and New Testaments, the Apocrypha, and has many plates/illustrations. Found inside this Bible were two pre-Civil War cloth bookmarks commemorating Boston, (made of silk or satin).
