Thanks to all who've confirmed this family line, and added more info, including the Shurtleff connection back to IMMIGRANT William Shurleff.
What I now have:
Raymond Shurtleff (middle name either Shryock or Shyrock)
Born: Feb 19, 1893 in Cuba, Illinois
Married: Feb 20, 1926 in Avon, Illinois
Died: LIVING 1931. Settled in Davenport, Iowa.
Eye doctor
Parents: William Locke Shurtleff/Ida M Unknown
Spouse: MILDRED ALMINA POMEROY (My family connection)
Born: April 24, 1888 in Orion, Illinois
Died: (sometime after 1941...she is mentioned in my
gr. father's 1941 obit as still living,in Canton
Illinois.)
Raymond and Mildred had two daughters. I've been unable to track them further, and would greatly appreciate any help in learning more about them. Did they live to marry, have families, etc?
