Hello, Darren Altom
I have received email from Max Shumake that Andrew as the son of Robert Carrol Shumake is incorrect.
Robert Carrol is Andrew's uncle.
The right parents are Edmond Shumake and Fanny Marsh.
Hannah Shoemake is my Grandmother. She married my Grandfather, Jacob Smiley Aleshire, at Brownsville,TN 13 Mar 1883. They had 3 sons and 1 daughter. Aleshire is anglicized. Conrad Ehlscheid arrived in Philadelphia from the Rhine Palatinate 1747.
Jacob & Hannah's son, Andrew Hollowell Aleshire (named after Hannah's father) was my father. He died 1977.
Are you in Andrew's line?
