Following is a summary of information given in the Scholl Sholl Shull Genealogy, by John William Scholl, The Grafton Press, New York, 1930

Page 785:
Moses H. Shull. born November 15, 1822, died January 5, 1905, married Malinda Shyttle, was the first of six children of Charles Shull.

Charles Shull was born near Lincolnton, NC, January 20, 1795, died June 18, 1868, killed by the accident of falling off a log while he was engaged in the construction of a dam across Indian Creek at the old Houser Mill place, buried at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, married Eveline Dellinger. Charles Shull was the first of six children of Charles Scholl (Shull).

Page 783:
Charles Scholl was born at Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland in 1761, died in Lincoln County, NC, April, 1840, married Fanny Hughes, born in England, died in Lincoln county, NC about 1796, though her gravestone is so weathered that the date is illegible. Charles Scholl was the 4th. child of George Christian Scholl.

Page 782:
George Christian Scholl was born in Europe in 1730, died at Frederick, MD, August 17, 1789, aged 59 years (rec. of Evan. Luth. Ch. of Frederick, MD, at MD Hist. Soc of Baltimore), married Catherine Barbara Fauth, born 1736, died March 13, 1804, aged 68 years. A Christian Scholl was listed as a passenger on board the ship "Shirley," James Allen, Captain, and registered at the port of Philadelphia September 5, 1751. This was probably George Christian Scholl, as his name shows up in the records of his church as early as 1754.

Best regards,

Daniel S. Shull
