Michelle,

I feel that you are are a descendant of Daniel Shuey who arrived in Philadelphia in 1732 from the state of Rheinland-Pfalz in present day Germany via Rotterdam aboard the galley ship, 'Johnson'.

While I find no record of William Conrad Shuey in the "History of the Shuey Family in America - From 1732 -1919", by Rev. Dennis Boeshore Shuey,D.D., there were at least two Shuey men who married members the Conrad family in Lebanon County, PA.

I have a large Shuey database which takes the family history back to ca. 1500 in eastern France.

The Shueys. or Jouys as they were called then, were Protestants who had to flee from France in the late 1600's into the Germanic protestant states, following the revocation of the Edict of Nantes.

Be happy to try to help you in your ancestral search.
