First I have to say I answered this message directly to Lyn first because of problems on GenForum.
Most of the Lincolnshire SHUCKSMITH's are connected in one way or another.
There is no known link between the Lincolnshire and the Lancashire/Yorkshire Families.
The majority of theories as to where the name comes from say that it is an occupational title ie. Smith as in Shoesmith or Farrier as it is known today. This is one reason why there is not necessarily Family links between each SHUCKSMITH group.
I have details from the IGI but these are limited to the research wich was donated to the IGI!. I have found many more that are not listed on the IGI. I appreciate any info that can be added to my research which would also help others in the Future. This is not a commercial venture and I don't give any private details to the World Family Tree project nor do I publish these details on my Home pages.
If you send me details please include as much as you can. I keep private details private ie. 100 Year rule is used.
