Darrell,
James b abt 1792 died before 1841, is the son of George Conrad Shrout Sr b 17 Feb 1764 at Pennsylvania, died 1826
Hardy Co, wife unknown. grandson of Johann Peter Shrout b
abt 1735 & his wife Anna Clara Feuerbach (family members later went by Firebaugh -Firebaugh)
Proof of James being a son was in 1 Dec 1941 when George Shrout Jr acquired a partial interest on 197 acres on the middle fork of Patterson Creek (his Grandfather's Peter's land) from Jonathon & Rebecca McDonald, who I believe is the
dau of James Shrout, james being deceased.

Later in 1841 land records at Hardy County show that Rebecca McDonald the dau of James, Henry McGee and his wife,
and William Seymour all sold land, part of the 197a Peter Shrout land to George Shrout Jr. I believe Rebecca and the other two wifes were children of James..

In the 1820 Census of Hardy Co we find James Srout & wife,
one son 10-15, 3 dau 0-10. the wife is presumed to be Mary "Polly" Harris who James married 30 dec 1811. the girls
are probably Elizabeth McKee, Ann Rebecca McDonald, & Mrs
William Seymour. Mary Shrout could have been one of the girls,
In 1850, Mary Shrout 56 the probable widow of James, was living with her dau Ann Rebecca and Jonathon McDonald.
Larry
