I don't have your Sarah E. Smith in my data base, but if she is a Shrout she has to be decended from George C. Shrout Jr (abt 98% certain) b abt 1797 and his wife Pamela Moreland b abt 1800, all the rest of the Shrouts left the area. Heider Shrout is their son. He has a daughter Sarah, who was shown in his will in 1866 as Sarah Shrout, I thought she was his oldest child, but she could be his youngest.
George C. & Pamela had 12 Children the oldest born in 1821, youngest in 1848.
Their oldest son Beckwith, had their oldest child in 1849,
she could be possibly their dau.
Another possibllity is that she could be the widow of a Shrout who died, but I have no Husband for her, none of the
children died that young that I know of.
