While searching for my great-grandmother Lydia Scheller in Labette Co. Mound Valley Twn. KS. I found her burial in the Mound Valley Cemetery (near Parsons KS). With her were listed two other Schellers - Ruth C. (No dates given) and Ruth's son Gerald G. b. 1882 d. 1909. At that time I did not know my great-grandfather's name was Jacob. I next put in the name Jacob Scheller and found his burial in Jefferson Co. Indiana, Lancaster Twn. From there I tried Jefferson Co. Indiana Scheller and.... found the marriage listing for Ruth C. Shrewsberry. While I find no other Shrewsberrys in Labette, I feel certain the Ruth C. of Indiana is the one in Labette. I would be interested in learning how the John F. Scheller is related to my Lydia and Jacob. I am guessing he was a son.
