Are you refering to Jeremiah Shrewsbury (~1755-1809) of Franklin Co., VA? If you are, have you seen Doris Slaughter's book on the "Pioneers of West Virginia with Shrewsbury, ..... Families"? I recently purchased this book while looking for my ancestors from southern West Virginia. This book is a treasure, not only does it contain my Shrewsbury relatives back to Jeremiah but also the McKinneys of Mercer and Raleigh Counties (my grandmother's family).

The book refers to Jeremiah's wife as "Mary (Polly) _____". If this is the same person, how did know her name was Mary Clay? The book does not mention Jeremiah's involvement in the reveloutionary war but it does give lots of information about his property and his move to Giles Co. VA.

Please let me know if we are talking about the same Jeremiah Shrewsbury. - - - Thx/Ray
