Mary Ann McClain was the daughter of my great-uncle Henry Thomas Shrader. They lived in western Scott County Arkansas near Cauthron on Poteau Mountain. The family came to Arkansas from Alabama in the 1870's. As far as I know there is no Indian heritage on the father's side. I don't know about the mother. Her name was Nancy E. Eliot.
