I need to make a CORRECTION to the data I posted initially here. Lois or "Loise Ledford" is found in the 1900 U.S. Census, John Ledford household, Knob Creek, Cleveland Co., NC., and not in the 1910 Census as I previously stated.
This Lois or Loise is the daughter of Mary Elmina Crotts and the stepdaughter of John Ledford. I am trying to determine whether she may be the wife of Filo Shoup.
(I have reason to believe that the biological father of Lois Crotts, daughter of Mary Elmina Crotts, may be a Bumgardner.)
Lois Crotts ("Loise Ledford") is listed in the 1900 census as age 15 years with a birthdate of Mar 1885, however this is inconsistent since she would only be five years old if born in 1885. If Lois is 15 years old in 1900 as stated, then her birthdate should be about 1875. I do not know which is correct.
I apologize for my error. I would really like to hear from anyone who has knowledge of the parents of the Lois Bumgardner or Crotts who married Ephram Philo "Filo" Shoup. Thank you, Dru
