Have found Jacob B Shoup and son John Jacob Shoup in 1840 census in Salt Creek Twp. Holmes Co., Ohio. Nearby in Paint Twp., Holmes Co., Ohio is son Martin Shoup and on next page is Henry Sharp (should be Shoup not Sharp) b. May 10,1814 in Lancaster Co., Penn. Trying to establish that Henry Shoup is son of Jacob B. Shoup and brother to John Jacob and Martin Shoup. Henry Shoup m. Margaret McDanels on July 5, 1836 in Holmes Co., Ohio. In 1840 Henry Sharp (Shoup) and wife were 25 yrs old and had two children under 5 yrs, which matches census data for Henry Sharp (Shoup) Can anyone help me link Henry to Jacob B. Shoup. Also trying to contact Michele Skolmutch who gave me a copy of Henry and Margaret's marriage certificate.
