Thanks for the information.

Rebecca's husband was George Jones, birth date and location unknown, though probably born in the 1790's as he served in the War of 1812, and family legend says he came from Kentucky.
He died March 4, 1844, in Hancock County, TN, reportedly after going out to break the ice off a mill on War Creek, near the Clinch R.

He married Rebecca Smith in Estillville(Gate City) Nov. 4, 1830, according to Scott County records. Rebecca received a widow's pension from her husband's military service, and in a document dated Oct. 1887, a special examiner reported she was living with Albert Shoup near Rye Cove, VA.
