Kichline President of the Kichline Family Association And Read by Him Before the Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society at Easton, Pa., Under Date of January 15, 1926, at 8 P. M., at the home of Frank C. Williams, “Margawilla” Thirteenth and Spring Garden Streets The Writer is at Present Clerk of the Orphans’ Court of Northampton County On May 27,1777, Conrad Shoup and John Shoup, Executors of Henry Shoup conveyed to Colonel Kachlein 160 acres and 55 perches of land in Rockhill and Haycock Townships, on Tohickon Creek and Three Mile Run adjoining the Dean Tract. On Aug. 15 1777, Col. Kachlein conveyed to George Phillips 26 1/2 acres of the Shoup tract; and on June 16, 1777, 60 acres and 55 perches of the same purchase lying in Haycock, to Henry Loux. John Kachlein, the youngest son of Col. Kachlein, who inherited the Shoup Plantation at Church Hill, Bucks County, under his father's will was under fourteen years of age at the death of his father in 1781. He learned the trade of a blacksmith and continued to reside in Rockhill until 1808, when he purchased a farm in Richland and moved there. He sold a part of his Rockhill farm, 58 acres of the 114 acre tract, May 6. 1792, to Joseph Hoffert, and 22 acres to Elizabeth Solliday on Dec. 19, 1792. He acquired several tracts of land in Richland and Milford, two of which he conveyed to his son John in 1828. Of the daughters of Col. Kachlein we have no definite record. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.kerchner.com/kerchner.htm (d) When Adam died, his wife, who was named (Anna?/Elisabetha?) Barbara, remarried Conrad Schaub/Shoup (his best friend according to Adam's will). Conrad Shoup's 1806 will lists a Frederick Kerchner as a debtor to him. It is easily conceivable for him to have loaned money to a step-son. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ludwig or Lewis Shoup s/o Henry Shoup b before 1722 d 1777 Name: Henry Shoup Given Name: Henry Surname: Shoup Sex: M Birth: Bef 1722 Death: Bef 17 Apr 1777 in Rock Hill Twp., Bucks County, Pennsylvania http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/pa/bucks/wills/willabstbk3.txt 3.412.
