I have been researching my husbands family and there is an Ellen Shoults in his line. She was born in London April 23, 1819. She ended up in Australia where she married Thomas Dewsnap, a convict, sent there in 1828. I'm unsure of the reason she was in Australia, whether it was by choice or not. Her parents were Salley Churcher and Henry Shoults. Henry was b.abt.1790 London and baptized in Southwark 5/21/1790. He and Salley m.9/19/1814 at Southwark. Anything sound familiar? Sincerely, Rachelle Gilbert
