According to "Historical Notes on Dubois Co." page 183: Col. Thomas Shoulders was also an associate Judge and State Senator of Dubois Co., Indiana. He died at Indianapolis January 29, 1863, while the legislature was in session. Col. Shoulders remains were brought to Dubois Co., and it is thought put to rest in the Denbo Graveyard. This old graveyard is on the old Jacob Denbo farm, in Hall Twp, between the forks of Hall Creek about two miles northeast of Schnellville, and on a road that leads from Troy to Hillham.
When the graveyard was last visited there was no record of a gravestone; however, much destruction was noted.
Today, the graveyard is land locked and the property owners have made it impossible to acess. It is suspected that more damage has been done which may be the reason for making access more difficult.
