Lulu SHORTRIDGE was born abt 1870 in Missouri, d/o Eli C D SHORTRIDGE & 2nd wife Dorcas Virginia BRADY.
Sometime shortly before 1900 in North Dakota, she married David Airth STEWART who had been born Feb 23 1874 in Renfrew County Ontario. Her father, Eli died in Devils Lake on Feb 4 1908.
Lulu & David had 1 son, Robert Shortridge STEWART born abt 1904 in North Dakota and by 1910 the family was in Spokane Washington; 1920 in Seattle Washington and 1930 in San Diego California.
Actually, Robert was with his aunt, Lila SHORTRIDGE in the 1930 Census.
Lulu died in San Diego on Jan 16 1944 while David STEWART died there Apr 27 1965.
His obit states that son Robert S. was a traffic controller in the city of Philadelphia at the time and had 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
As far as I've been able to discover, Robert Shortridge STEWART married a Catherine GREENWELL.
I am related on Robert Shortridge STEWART's father's side --- he was the son of my GR grandmother's sister, Agnes AIRTH & her husband, Robert STEWART.
