Shortridge, Yates, Looney Questions & Info

At the bottom of page one in “ Then ALONG CAME JOE VOL. 2 “ by Wilma Walker
Dunlap. It states that Ruth Yates Shortridge is buried in the Montaville Shortridge
Cemetery.

Could anyone please tell me where the Cemetery is?

In a letter written to me April 4, 2002 by Wilma Walker Dunlap. She states “ There is a
mix up about Ruth Yates and Ruth Shortridge . In volume 1 of my book, I stated that
Ruth Shortridge was the wife of Joseph Looney (common law wife, he did not marry her
but supported her and her children). By the time volume 2 was ready to be published, certain people pressured me to change it to read Ruth Yates. Since all this time I found that Ruth Shortridge is correct."

What does she mean by this? Which Ruth was the mother of Joseph's son John?

Wilma has no time to help me as her daughter is very ill.

She also states that she has a hand written will of Ruth's father, John Yates.

If anyone has a copy of a will, deed or court record of John Yates or Joseph Looney or Robert Shortridge please E-mail me a copy or ask for my address. I will glady pay for copying and postage.

Could someone please help me find a source that connects Joseph Looney 1805-1844 to John Looney 1827?

Thanks....Carolyn
