I was born Mary Elizabeth Shorter in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. As far as I can go back is to John and Kindness Shorter in Virginia. John Shorter died abt 1754 because that is when his widow, Kindness Shorter, was summoned to court in Lunenbury County, Virginia. And James Shorter appeared as an orphan.
