My Shorter line ends or begins (depending on how you look at it) with my Great grandmother, Rosa Bethel Shorter of Pittsylvania County, VA. She lived to be 104 years old. She was one of twelve children of John Henry Shorter and Kate Ann Durham both of Pittsylvania Co., VA, John Henry Shorter was one of 11 children of John Lewis Shorter and Nancy Allen both of Pittsylvania Co., VA. John Lewis Shorter was one of 12 children of Booker Randolph SHorter and Tabitha C. Hubbard. Booker was from Charlotte County, VA and Tabitha was from Pittsylvania Co., VA. Booker Randolph Shorter was one of 8 children of John Shorter and Nancy Palmore. John and Nancy were both from Charlotte Co., VA. John was one of 6 children of James Archibald Shorter and Lucy Childrey, James Archibald was from Christchurch, VA and Lucy was from Charlotte Co., VA. James Archibald was one of 5 children of John Shorter and Kindness. John was from Lunenburg Co., VA and Kindness was from somewhere in VA, but don't know exactly where. John Shorter was one of 4 children of John Shorter and Elizabeth Underwood. I have three more generations back, but sketchy details. If you could help me in this regard I would be more than delighted and will offer you any assistance on my Shorter line that I can.
