Searching for information on Alice Shorter who married W.D. Jelks.
Joseph William Dorsey Jelks was the father of W. D. Jelks and the brother of my grgr grandfather John Alexander Jelks.
Joseph William Dorsey Jelks b. March 30, 1819 married Jane Goodrum Frazier/Frazer.They had two sons and one daughter that I know of.
James Thomas Jelks was born May 20, 1842 at or near Uchee Alabama, Russell County. He was a Physician.
