I do not know where in Rutherford Co Daniel and Prudence were from but Caser is right next to it in Cleveland Co and probably are some relation. The lady that posted the children of Daniel said she was from the line of Wade H. Short and I e-mailed and never received an answer. There was another lady that was from one of the children also and kept saying she was going to send me info but I have never gotten any. I have not been able to learn who Prudence was either and I have been told that my Short lineage had Indian and I do not know if it was through the Shorts or the Towery as Robert married a Letty Towery. Try putting the names in the census records and see if a 1920 one comes up as he would have only been about 8 and it might show his parents. The Children of Daniel and Prudence were born between 1835 and 1855 so it would have been a few generations down the line and he probably does come from one of them.
