Your names must be another line of Shorts. I do have several Franklin Shorts, but they were born in Tennessee and Texas. The way my Short family connects to the Watkin family was when Ben Short married Ella Watkins in 1901. I think your Short family is a different branch of Shorts.
If you find some from Texas, let me know. My Shorts are predominately all from Texas. Thank you.
