According to Gary E. Moulton's book John Ross, Cherokee Chief, William Shorey married Ghigooie, a fullblooded Cherokee maiden of the Bird Clan, and had at least two children Anne and William. Anne married John McDonald and William married Peggy. William and Peggy had a daughter named Elizabeth. William had two more daughters, belived by a second wife, name unknown. Elizabeth married John Lowery.
