I am looking for the name of Rebecca Newmans first husband. His last name was Shores. She had 3 daughters by him. Tennesse Josphine, Virginia Ann, and Ozina (may have been middle name) Rebecca then married Larkin Nall in 1849. Area was Washington Co. Arkansas. Tennessee married Elias Yeager. Want more information on the other two daughters. According to story told by my great aunt Ida Ozina Sparks Weston: Aunt Ozina (Called Aunt Tip) was a large woman and during the Civil War there were a number of battles fought around where they lived in Washington County, AR. When darness fell after the battles, she would take her two wheel cart out and search for the wounded. She nursed those who lived until they recovered. Those that died, she buried. She hid the wounded in caves.
