I just read your post from last year. My daughter in law is related to the Shoemakes you are asking about and I don't have a lot on them. Her dad & mother were Herman Brooks and Jocie Dickens. Jocie's mother and dad were Harvey and Altie Shoemake Dickens.
Altie was a sister to Johnnie. I have been trying to find out for certain if Altie and Johnnie's dad was the James Shoemake son of Obediah( O.B./Overton and Claricy Dickens)
James married a Hunter I think , either a Susan/Susie/or Sarah. I cannot find anything about her family anywhere. I don't know when James and Susie died and where they are buried. All I have on your family are just you and your siblings names with no data after that.
