Hurray! I actually went to lunch with a Shoblo descendent ,also your cousin. He was raised partially by his grandmother, Maximiana Shoblo. He lived in Colorado, but moved to NM later and does not live in Taos.
As my grandfather's family and his did not write much, I do not think that he knew of his great grandfather, Jose Francisco Shoblo. Jose Francisco's daughter, Maximiana, possibly Vidal's half sister, returned to her Mother's hometown of Mora from Colorado later in life. (Gallegos)
Please write to my email address. Somehow, together we might discover the missing Shoblo
I also have the Gallegos genealogy line back to the 1670's. The Gallegos share my Mother's maternal Maese ancestors, making me my own ninth cousin. LD
